As we go through our life's experience our body process and filter our experiences, mostly without our conscious awareness. Negative thoughts and feelings from past traumatic experiences remain stored in the cells and tissues of the body. These cellular memories are often the cause of stress, depression, illness emotional and physical pain. Osmosis combines classic Yoga postures with elements of body centered Psychology.
In an Osmosis session you are guided through a sequence of assisted postures and breathing session work designed to take you deeper into your internal experience. As you are supported in the postures you are guided in a dialogue that concentrates your attention on what you are experiencing internally. Each session includes an integration to assist you in processing your experience and exploring how you can bring your insights into actions.
Use it as an adjunct to traditional forms of treatment such as psychotherapy and physical therapy.
