Strengthen your inner core the Pilates way
"Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness... If at 30 you are stiff and out of shape then you are old. If at 60 you are supple and strong then you are young." Joseph Hubertus Pilates
Unlike any other exercise, Pilates focuses on building your body's core strength - your back, abdominal and pelvic muscles - and improving posture through a series of low repetition, low impact stretching and conditioning exercises.
Flexibility and agility are enhanced and muscles are toned without adding bulk. Whilst providing a total body workout (without pounding away in the gym) Pilates also helps participants develop a greater sense of how their body works.
At Osmosis we have classes suitable for individuals of all ages and all levels of fitness, from the complete Pilates beginner to those who wish to build on their skills and experience. This gentle form of exercise is non-aerobic and low impact - perfect for the elderly, during pregnancy or after injuries.
